VIKIN.GG VS B8 ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 ONLINE: EU & CIS BETTING PREVIEW

Vikin.gg and B8 are slated to meet on the 11th day of ESL One Los Angeles Dota2 Online, which will mark each side’s sixth fixture of the tournament and their first-ever meeting in the competitive arena.

Vikin.gg have enjoyed a solid start to their ESL One LA venture, having picked up three wins in the opening five rounds. While their displays against Gambit (2-0) and Cyber Legacy (2-1) were promising, the 2-1 victory over the reigning TI champions, OG, will go down as one of the biggest Dota2 upsets in 2020. However, the Romanian squad did not see the same success against CIS squads HellRaisers (0-2) and Virtus.pro (0-2) in rounds two and four.

The biggest question is how and where we rank Vikin.gg. There is no denying this is a B-Tier team at most, but they are very strong in their weight class and have shown they can match it with some of the world’s best Dota 2 esports teams.

Indji “Shad” Lub, Miroslav “BOOM” Bi?an, Tobias “Tobi” Buchner, Adam “Aramis” Moroz and Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp have already seen a lot of success in minor tournaments throughout 2020. In January, they picked up a third-place finish at the Hainan Master Spring Invitational – Europe Qualifier, made it to the finals of OMG.BET Cup 2, and won Hot Price League Season 1 while losing only one map. That form continued into March when Vikin.gg hoisted titles at Winter Madness, Hot Price League Season 2 and GGBET Championship 2.

While those are far from top-tier tournaments, it’s hard to ignore Vikin.gg’s impressive 24-3 record since the start of March. Prior to ESL One Los Angeles, their only loss in that run came against Aggressive Mode (0-2) in the SIGUL Pro League.

B8 have had a far less successful run through the opening stages of ESL One LA. While they claimed a 2-1 win over HellRaisers, Danil “Dendi” Ishutin’s team fell flat against Cyber Legacy (1-2), OG (1-2), Nigma (0-2) and Gambit (0-2). Although 1-4 record is nothing to write home about, their three-map series against OG is something B8 can look at with pride.

B8’s preparation was less than ideal, as the newly established CIS squad failed to secure top-four finishes at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 CIS Open Qualifier, WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon, Arena of Blood and WeSave! Charity Play – EU & CIS. Since Dendi formed his team on January 27, 2020, they have produced only five wins in 21 outings.

VIKIN.GG VS B8 ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 MAJOR: NA BETTING PREDICTIONS

Esports bookmakers have Vikin.gg priced as heavy favourites, which is no surprise. Having said that, we must take into consideration that ESL One LA is an online tournament, where underdogs tend to have a much greater chance to shine.

That does not necessarily mean we can count on B8 to win, as they clearly need to make a couple of roster swaps if they wish to find any stability with their results. However, it’s still fair to expect B8 can pick up at least one map.

B8’s prospects are heavily dependent on the performance of owner-captain Dendi, who, on his best day, can take over any match. Although he is not playing at the same elite level as he once did, Vikin.gg are also not the same calibre of team Dendi is used to playing against.

We are counting on Dendi to deliver. B8 picked up maps against HellRaisers, Cyber Legacy and OG, which suggests they are more than capable of doing the same against Vikin.gg.

NINJAS IN PYJAMAS vs NATUS VINCERE ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 BETTING PREVIEW

Natus Vincere and Ninjas in Pyjamas are set to meet for the first time since August on day eight of ESL One Los Angeles Online.

To say a lot has changed since Ninjas in Pyjamas last met Natus Vincere would be an understatement, seeing how the only player who remained with the Swedish esports organisation since August is the team captain Peter “ppd” Dager and it seems like the American Dota2 veteran isn’t going anywhere until he helps NiP with what he does best – win prestigious tournaments.

Shortly after Ninjas in Pyjamas’ poor performance at TI, the organisation released its roster and started fresh by building a new juggernaut around ppd, by adding Oliver “skiter” Lepko, Nico “Gunnar” Lopez, Saahil “Universe” Arora and Malthe “Biver” Winther, but even that project did not last for long. Skiter was replaced by Jason Connor “TANNER” Weedon in December, Gunnar and Biver both got released from the team in January and most recently, Ninjas in Pyjamas announced the departure of Universe.

To fill the voids NiP signed Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos and Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin earlier this year, however, entered ESL One LA with a different roster, fielding Evgeniy “Blizzy” Ree and Milan “MiLAN” Kotomara as stand-ins for Universe and Lelis, with the latter rumoured to be at the exit doors of the team.

NiP’s shambolic period with roster moves and their inability to find any stability started to affect their performances, as they failed to achieve anything noteworthy in the last seven months outside of finishing third at DreamLeague Season 12, securing a top-eight place finish at ESL One Hamburg 2019 and top-six at DOTA Summit 11.

Natus Vincere will surely fancy their chances against the struggling Ninjas in Pyjamas, however, even the most storied CIS Dota2 team have their hands full of problems. In recent times, NaVi have become known for their mediocre results with occasional flashes of greatness – much like NiP, but perhaps with slightly better overall showing.

Since NaVi finished 13th-16th at TI9, Idan “MagicaL” Vardanian and co. claimed bronze at Midas Mode 2 – Europe, finished second at World Electronic Sports Games 2019 CIS Finals, seventh-eighth at ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore, ninth-12th at DreamLeague 13 and most recently dropped the ball at WeSave! Charity Play, where they ended their journey in round after losing against HellRaisers.

Natus Vincere will be entering this bout with a 2-1 record to their name, which might make it seem like they have found their footing, but it’s worth noting that those wins came against Team Unique (2-1) and Chicken Fighters (2-1) which are not particularly strong teams. Having said that, this is an online tournament, so maybe they deserve some slack for failing to secure clean sweeps.

NINJAS IN PYJAMAS vs NATUS VINCERE ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 BETTING PREDICTIONS

Natus Vincere are clearly not the same powerhouse they once were, meanwhile, Ninjas in Pyjamas are in a similar position, as they are not a team we can expect will move any mountains, at least not with their current roster situation.

As much as we can respect both NaVi and NiP as esports organisations, there is no denying they are both fielding mediocre Dota2 rosters which, on the bright side, seem to match up nicely. ESL One Los Angeles changed to online play, so predicting an outright winner is rarely a good option given the unstable nature of the format. NiP are, however, priced at $2.04 on an outright market, so placing a wager on them to produce an upset win is something to ponder, however, with BetOnline offering $1.93 on over 2.5 maps, the latter is a much safer bet in our book.

BUSINESS ASSOCIATES VS QUINCY CREW ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 ONLINE MAJOR: NA BETTING PREVIEW

Business associates and Quincy Crew are set to duke it out on Matchday 2 in the North American section of the ESL One Los Angeles Online Major, in what will be their second-to-last match of the tournament before the playoffs.

Quincy Crew’s squad have returned to fight under their old banner following their departure from Chaos Esports Club earlier this month, when the North American esports organisation decided to call it quits on their Dota2 project due to COVID-19 outbreak.

Representing Quincy Crew are now Yawar “YawaR” Hassan, Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, Arif “MSS” Anwar, Malthe “Biver” Winther and Avery “SVG” Silverman. The one new member of this Quincy squad compared to the previous incarnation is Biver, who takes over the role formerly occupied by Jon? “SabeRLight-” Volek.

YawaR and co. had a few impressive showings as Chaos, including first place at DreamLeague Season 13 North America Closed Qualifiers and runner-up finishes at DOTA Summit 11 and ESL One LA Major NA qualifiers. Despite their strong performances in qualifiers, however, Chaos EC failed to deliver at Leipzig Major, where they finished 13th-16th after they lost to Aster in round one of the playoffs.

That did not stop Yawar’s squad from putting up a very impressive show at LA Major qualifiers, where they forced Evil Geniuses into a three-map series and defeated business associates twice with a 4-1 aggregate score.

Joining the clash of the organisation-less teams are business associates, a quintet of players which formerly represented J.Storm before the North American outfit decided to release their members without warning earlier this year.

While playing under J.Storm, Clinton “Fear” Loomis and co. had a fairly successful run on the Dota Pro Circuit. They pocketed top-six finishes at DreamLeague Season 12 and the MDL Chengdu Major, but success has been hard to come by since then and it seems like the lack of proper training facilities and financial backing has taken a toll on the team.

Business associates finished third at ESL One Los Angeles NA Major Closed Qualifiers and later put up two underwhelming displays at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3 and WeSave! Charity Play – North America, where they finished seventh-eighth and third-fourth respectively.

Perhaps it would be fair to give business associates some slack for their WeSave! Charity Play placement, given that it was a charity event and that they took Evil Geniuses to three maps, but it is hard to overlook their defeats to forZe and BOOM Esports at the StarLadder tournament.

BUSINESS ASSOCIATES VS QUINCY CREW ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 ONLINE MAJOR: NA BETTING PREDICTIONS

Quincy Crew are priced as heavy favourites to pocket a W here, which is fair when you consider they defeated business associates twice at the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 North America Closed Qualifier. That said, the outsiders should not be underestimated.

It’s easy to forget how strong J.Storm used to be. While they were never one of the top teams in the Dota 2 esports scene, they had their fair share of impressive results.

Most J.Storm’s success was due to Fear, who is one of the most storied Dota2 player-coaches and widely regarded as the best Dota2 player from North America. He might not be the player he once was, but his experience and leadership are invaluable assets.

Fears presence might not be enough to inspire business associates to an upset win, but the underdogs have what it takes to force a three-map series.

TEAM ADROIT VS FNATIC ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 ONLINE MAJOR: SEA BETTING PREVIEW

Team Adroit and Fnatic will meet on the battlefield for the second time this year on Matchday 2 of the Southeast Asian division of the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Dota2 Major.

Fnatic enter Tuesday’s bout as the favourites, which is not all too shocking as Djardel “DJ” Mampusti and co. are widely regarded as one of the top Southeast Asian Dota2 esports teams besides TNC Predator.

Since finishing 13th-19th at The International 2019, Fnatic have had quite a colourful journey through their competitive endeavours. At the start of October they pocketed silver at Midas Mode 2 Asia and a top-two finish at MDL Chengdu Major SEA Closed qualifiers, which set them up for success at the first Dota2 Major of the season. However, things did not go as planned for Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong’s men, who crashed out of the Chinese Major in round two after suffering a reverse-sweep against Invictus Gaming.

At the end of the year, Fnatic had another strong showing in the DreamLeague Season 13 SEA Closed Qualifier, where they humiliated TNC Predator to secure the top seed in their region for the Leipzig Major. Despite their regional dominance and strong displays in the Major’s group stage, Fnatic once again suffered elimination in round two of the playoffs, this time courtesy of two close defeats to Team Secret and TNC Predator.

Fnatic continued their trend of regional dominance with a strong run through the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier in February, to which they added an impressive run at DOTA Summit 12, where they won their first international event that included teams from outside their region since the XMG Captains Draft Invitational in April 2014. At DOTA Summit 12, Fnatic defeated the likes of Team Liquid, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses and OG Seed, which will serve as a huge morale boost for the team ahead of the first online Dota2 Major.

Although still miles from being regarded as one of the top Dota2 teams in the scene, Team Adroit have established themselves as a serious threat with a handful of strong showings against the top sides.

Adroit did not participate at The International 2019, but they saw some success in a few minor Dota2 tournaments towards the end of 2019, including gold medals at Battle of Dawn and ESL Clash of Nations Bangkok 2019. Adroit also secured a ticket for the MDL Chengdu Major with a third-place finish in SEA closed qualifiers, although they failed to claw their way out of the group stage in China.

In December 2019, Adroit finished ninth-10th at Leipzig Major SEA closed qualifiers and bounced back with a title-wining run at the Yabo Supreme Cup. But Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton and company failed to carry over the momentum into January, when they appeared at Elites Challenge S2 and finished seventh-eighth.

On a more positive note, Adroit saw some success at ESL One Los Angeles SEA closed qualifiers, where they secured the third seed, and later won the SEA division at WeSave! Charity play event after eliminating TNC Predator and Geek Fam.

TEAM ADROIT vs FNATIC ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 ONLINE MAJOR: SEA BETTING PREDICTIONS

Both sides have had their ups and downs since the start of the 2019/20 Dota Pro Circuit season. Adroit’s disappointing overall form is sprinkled with some upset wins against stronger teams, which inspires some optimism ahead of their clash with Fnatic.

Adroit’s last roster change came back in June 2019, when they signed Boombacs. Fnatic’s most recent two changes in their lineup came in September 2019, when they signed Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon and Kam “Moon” Boon Seng. Since the last roster change these two sides have met twice, with Fnatic securing two perfect 2-0 wins.

While we would like to make a case for Adroit here, Fnatic are the stronger side and their dominant run through DOTA Summit 12 only further proves Jabz’s squad is ready to cause some serious damage at the ESL One LA Major. While Adroit are not to be underestimated, Fnatic look to be in a great form and could well notch another 2-0 win.

Virtus.pro draft in iLTW for Coolman at ESL One Los Angeles https://www.seclub.top/virtus-pro-draft-in-iltw-for-coolman-at-esl-one-los-angeles/ https://www.seclub.top/virtus-pro-draft-in-iltw-for-coolman-at-esl-one-los-angeles/#respond Wed, 11 Mar 2020 23:06:34 +0000 https://www.seclub.top/?p=10723 Virtus.pro have announced that Igor iLTW Filatov will replace stand-in member Zaur Cooman Shakhmurzaev for the ESL One Los Angeles Dota2 Major amid visa issues that have prevented the latter player from entering the United States.

“Unfortunately, Zaur has not got his US visa. We have applied multiple times and activated all our resources, yet the embassy stuck to its position on denying the visa,” said Sergey Glamazda, general manager at Virtus.pro.

“Considering the time until the Major left we are forced to make a temporary roster change.”

ILTW started his Dota2 esports career in August 2015, when he joined a Russian esports team Enso. He later played for Comanche, Cyber Anji, Double Dimension, M19, Team Spirit, Effect, ESPADA and even enjoyed a short two-month stint at OG as a loanee before he left for Positive Guys, whose entire roster leave for Team Spirit in October 2019.

Throughout his five-year career, iLTW reached a fair amount of accolades. They include a gold medal at World Electronic Sports Games 2017 with the Russian national team, a bronze medal at ESL One Katowice 2019 with OG and silver at WePlay! Reshuffle Madness 2019 with Positive Guys.

Since joining Team Spirit, however, success has been hard to come by for iLTW, who saw his team miss out on the Leipzig Major by finishing third in CIS qualifiers. Spirit also claimed an underwhelming seventh-eighth finish at the Yabo Supreme Cup in December and failed to make much noise in the opening months of 2020 with a fifth-sixth finish at the WePlay! Bukovel Minor and yet another unsuccessful attempt at CIS Major qualifiers, where they finished seventh-eighth.

ILTW showed enough quality in those difficult times to earn a place at Virtus.pro, who will count on him to help them win their first big tournament since the Kuala Lumpur Major in November 2018.

Virtus.pro are not the only team in attendance at the LA Major to suffer from visa issues. Team Adroit won’t be able to count on their captain Marvin Boombacs Rushton during their stay in the City of Angels, while Team Aster are facing even greater difficulties as three of their players – Song “Sccc” Chun, Kee Chyuan ChYuan Ng and Pan Fade Yi – have yet to receive their visas.

Virtus.pro, Team Adroit and Team Aster will be joined by the South American powerhouse beastcoast in Group D of the ESL One LA Major. The latter side will meet with Virtus in the opening fixture of the group on Monday, March 16.

ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP VS NATUS VINCERE ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 MAJOR BETTING PREVIEW

Natus Vincere will begin their venture at the ESL One Los Angeles Major with a clash against Royal Never Give Up in the opening match in Group A, where the top two seeds will earn direct passage to the upper bracket of the playoffs.

Once a force to be reckoned with, Natus Vincere have been unsuccessful in their attempts to recapture their glory days from the early 2010s. While they are still regarded as one of the best CIS Dota 2 esports squads, NaVi and the region as a whole lack the quality they once had.

Besides the core duo of Vladislav “Crystallize” Krystanek and Idan “MagicaL” Vardanian, NaVi field Pavel “9pasha” Khvastunov, Ilyas “illias” Ganeev and Semion “CemaTheSlayer” Krivulya. The latter just recently joined as a stand-in for Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov, who left for local rivals Virtus.pro in February.

Although Zayac’s departure was a massive blow to the team, Natus Vincere can always count on their reliable carries in Crystallize and MagicaL, both of whom looked good throughout CIS qualifiers and will play a pivotal role in NaVis endeavour to hoist the trophy in the City of Angels.

Natus Vincere are also known for their deep champion pool. Having the ability to assemble a wide range of different team compositions is one of the biggest advantages Natus Vincere have over other teams, yet it remains to be seen how their versatility will compare to the consistency of their upcoming opponents.

After finishing seventh-eighth at The International 2019, Royal Never Give Up went through a period of mediocrity that saw them finish fourth at the ESL One Hamburg 2019 China Qualifier, MDL Chengdu Major China Closed Qualifier and DOTA Summit 11 China Qualifier.

Their poor results culminated with a fifth-eight place finish at the Hainan Master Cup in November, which led to Gao “dogf1ghts” Tianpeng and Lu “Fenrir” Chao parting ways with the team in favour of Xun “September” Zhichuan and player-coach Xie “Super” Junhao.

Since the roster reshuffle, Royal Never Give Up have finished seventh at DreamLeague Season 13 Chinese Closed Qualifiers and ended the year with a second-place finish at the Yabo Supreme Cup in December. In January the team pocketed silver at the WePlay! Bukovel Minor, where they dropped the ball against Nigma in the finals, and in February they put up a remarkable display at the Chinese LA Major qualifiers, where RNG lost only one map throughout the whole tournament.

ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP vs NATUS VINCERE ESL ONE LOS ANGELES DOTA2 MAJOR BETTING PREDICTIONS

Royal Never Give Up and Natus Vincere last met at The International 2019, where the Chinese outfit came out ahead with a clean sweep. However, given the changes both sides have gone through in the seven months since, it’s hard to put too much weight on that result.

It’s hard to say which team has an upper hand here, simply because of the different playstyles they have. Natus Vincere tend to outdraft their opponents and work around Crystallize and MagicaL to carry the game, while Royal Never Give Up use a methodical and slow-paced approach that allows them to drag out their games until they outscale their adversaries.

While that doesn’t work well against aggressive and unpredictable teams such as Nigma, it should, in theory, be an effective tool against Natus Vincere. The addition of Super to the active roster has given RNG great leadership and some early-game pressure while balancing their otherwise disciplined and systematic playstyle.

We like the Chinese squad here, but there is something about Natus Vincere and the way they dominated CIS qualifiers that makes us believe they can put up a fight. Either way, these two teams match up nicely and should drag out the series to three maps.

“Despite numerous attempts and all options exhausted to obtain a US Visa, our captain Boomy wasnt able to secure one in time for the Los Angeles Major,” the team confirmed on Monday.

Adroit will now look for stand-in player for the tournament. Rumour has it they are eyeing a North American player to avoid any further visa problems, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Team Adroit went through a turbulent start to the 2019/20 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season, finishing dead last at both the MDL Chengdu Major and DreamLeague Season 13 Leipzig Major SEA Closed Qualifiers. A streak of poor results inspired Adroit to step up at Yabo Supreme Cup, where Boombacs and co. hoisted their first LAN title since winning the ESL Clash of Nations back in October 2019.

Although the Filipino squad dipped in form at the Elite Challenge in January, they rose up and pocketed their ticket for the ESL One Los Angeles Major with a strong performance at the Southeast Asia Closed Qualifiers. There, they defeated some of the biggest names in the SEA Dota2 esports scene, including the current DPC frontrunners TNC Predator and Reality Rift.

While a huge achievement for the young squad, there are some serious concerns about their prospects in Los Angeles. Team Adroit were priced as one of the underdogs to begin with, and their chances of making a deep run look slimmer still now that their captain is out of action.

The ESL One Los Angeles Major begins on Sunday, March 15, with 16 teams in attendance and US $1,000,000 on the line. The tournament will feature some of the biggest names in the Dota 2 esports scene, including Natus Vincere, Evil Genuises, Virtus.pro, Team Secret, and the reigning back-to-back International champions, OG.

OG will field a new-look team with Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov as replacements for Anathan “ana” Pham, Sbastien “Ceb” Debs and Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka, who all left in January. The top two sides in the DPC standings, TNC Predator and ViCi Gaming, have decided to take a short break from the circuit and won’t be attending the LA Major.

Their superb performances earned them 5,100 DPC points and a guaranteed spot at the 2020 International, which might be the reason why the Chinese Dota 2 powerhouse decided to skip the ESL One Los Angeles Major.

While there has been no official confirmation of the decision, ViCi are nowhere to be found under the Chinese section of the ESL One Invites page for the event’s qualifier. That should not be the case, considering they are the highest-rated Chinese Dota 2 esports team.

ViCi not attending the LA Major should not be a shock to anyone, however, as their head coach, Bai “rOtK” Fan, has spoken openly about the possibility of taking a short break from the competitive scene and skipping the third Major of the season in order to prepare for the challenges they will face ahead. There is also the problem of acquiring a travel visa for ViCi offlaner Zhou “Yang” Haiyang, who has had issues gaining entry to the United States in the past.

“To some lengths, it is because the third Major is run in the United States and Yangs visa has already been rejected six or seven times, that is an issue everyone is considering,” said rOtK in an interview recorded after ViCi’s win at the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational.

“On the other hand, we also need to rest, and we cannot participate in every high-intensity competition.”

The ViCi coach also talked about plans for the future, stating that the team’s focus for this season is player development rather than success in the Majors.

“The most important thing for us is to make effective adjustments to our mindset and to learn from tournaments and make progress,” rOtK said.

“We have a new talent [Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan] on our team. Although Pyw has also participated in TI before, he is still a newcomer and has less competition experience. I hope to cultivate him this year, and help him reach his potential.”

While ViCi connections have stressed that the team’s withdrawal has nothing to do with health concerns, the coronavirus crisis has made it difficult for Chinese esports players to travel freely. Most of the ViCi squad resides in Hubei province, which is the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.

ViCi’s plans for the next two months are to participate in other, non-DPC tournaments in order to get ready for the EPICENTER Major, which is set to take place in May at CSKA Arena in Moscow, Russia.

J.Storm release Dota 2 esports roster without warning https://www.seclub.top/j-storm-release-dota-2-esports-roster-without-warning/ https://www.seclub.top/j-storm-release-dota-2-esports-roster-without-warning/#respond Mon, 10 Feb 2020 00:27:20 +0000 https://www.seclub.top/?p=10436 J.Storm shocked the Dota 2 esports community last week when it was discovered they had released all their players without any official announcement. David “Moo” Hull, Leon “Nine” Kirilin, Braxton “Brax” Paulson, Joel Mori “MoOz” Ozambela and captain Clinton “Fear” Loomis will play on under the name “business associates”.

What makes the supposed disbandment of the team even harder to comprehend is the fact that J.Storm got off to a strong start in the 2019/20 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season. In October 2019, J.Storm qualified for the first Dota 2 Major of the year with a third-place finish in North American qualifiers. At the MDL Chengdu Major, Fear and his crew made headlines as they claimed a fifth-sixth finish and 900 DPC points.

In December, J.Storm also made an appearance at DreamLeague Season 13 North American Closed Qualifier, but they crashed out of the event before making it to the playoffs. Towards the end of the year, J.Storm also claimed a bronze medal at the WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020 North America Qualifier and an 11-12th finish at the One Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational.

With a top-six finish at MDL Chengdu and an appearance at the Leipzig Major qualifiers, J.Storm earned 920 DPC points to sit eighth in the 2019/20 season standings. Considering the entire roster is still together and will play under a different name, the big question is whether or not Fear and company will get to keep their hard-earned DPC points.

The former J.Storm roster is currently competing in the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 North America Closed Qualifier, which will conclude on Wednesday, February 12. The teams participating at the qualifiers are: Evil Geniuses, Fighting PandaS, Chaos Esports Club, Team Xolotl, Demon Slayers, ghoul, DoZe Esports, Team Team, Zoomies and business associates.

At the time of writing, neither J.Storm nor their former players have made any official statement about the situation.
