Another huge week of esports kicks off on January 22, 2024, with Counter-Strike 2 taking centre stage.

The BLAST Premier Spring Groups will be the first LAN event of 2024, with the event set to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Meanwhile, the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) in China will become the last of the top four leagues to kick off in 2024. The first Major of the 2024 Call of Duty season will also take place this week, with the three-day event being held in Boston, USA, from Friday to Sunday.

BLAST Premier Spring Groups

The 16 BLAST Premier-partnered teams will congregate in Copenhagen for the six-day Spring Groups tournament, where the top six teams will qualify for the Spring Final in June.

With most of the top Counter-Strike teams in attendance, the Spring Groups will be an entertaining event and should kick off the year in fine style.

Call of Duty: Boston Major

After the conclusion of the Call of Duty: Major 1 qualifiers on Sunday, January 21, the seeds for the opening Major of the Call of Duty season will be confirmed.

Atlanta FaZe, Toronto Ultra and New York Subliners have been the top three teams throughout the qualifiers and will be the favourites going into the Boston Major.

League of Legends Pro League (LPL)

The opening night of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) on January 22 will feature two matches, with Top Esports taking on Bilibili Gaming, followed by Royal Never Give Up and Edward Gaming to conclude the first night of the Spring Split.

Another week of esports kicks off on January 8, 2024, with Call of Duty taking centre stage.

As the first Major of the Call of Duty 2024 season approaches, the qualifiers will continue to take place this weekend. Each of the 12 teams will play matches across January 13, 14 and 15, with most of the squads still in the hunt to finish on top of the table.

Meanwhile, the League of Legends EMEA Championship will kick off their Winter Split on January 13. The European League of Legends split will be the first split to begin its 2024 season, as G2 Esports seeks to defend their crown from the inaugural split last year.

Call of Duty: Stage 1 Major Qualifiers

The Stage 1 Boston Major will take place at the end of this month; however, the seeding qualifiers must finish beforehand.

Through three matches, Atlanta FaZe, Miami Heretics and New York Subliners remain undefeated at the top of the table.

League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC)

The LEC Winter Split will kick off this Saturday as G2 Esports will begin their title defence against Team BDS in the opening game of the split.

The winner of the split will book a place in the LEC Finals as well as the Mid-Season Invitational as the LEC representative.
