This event, supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and organised in partnership with AEG Presents Asia, represents the first BLAST-branded tournament in South-east Asia and the largest Counter-Strike competition ever held in Singapore.
James Woollard, Director of Market Development at BLAST, expressed his excitement about bringing these prestigious tournaments to Singapore, highlighting the city’s growing importance as an esports hub in South-east Asia.
He emphasised that over the next 18 months, Singapore will become the premier destination for esports in the region, promising unforgettable experiences for fans and significant contributions to the local esports ecosystem.
Singapores emergence as a major esports destination is further underscored by the regions significant role in the global esports market, with the Asia-Pacific region accounting for more than half of global esports views and an estimated market value of $1.6 billion.
Following the World Final in 2024, Singapore will continue its esports journey by hosting the BLAST Dota Slam in 2025, further solidifying its position as a world-class esports destination.
This continued investment in esports events is poised to attract global talent, foster local growth, and elevate Singapores status on the global esports map.

Led by the tactical prowess of in-game leader Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, Vitality showcased exceptional teamwork and individual brilliance to overcome FaZe Clan.
The series unfolded on Inferno (13-5) and Nuke (13-7), with Vitality prevailing in both maps.
The opening map saw FaZe Clan putting up a resilient fight, but Vitality’s teamwork, highlighted by standout plays from Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan, secured them an 8-4 lead by halftime.
A phenomenal 1v3 clutch by flameZ and ZywOo’s four-frag finale sealed the deal for a 13-5 victory on Inferno.
On Nuke, FaZe Clan initially gained a 5-2 advantage while attacking, but Vitality, under apEX’s leadership, responded with five consecutive rounds to lead 7-5 at halftime.
Despite FaZe Clan’s efforts, Vitality’s convincing force buy solidified their control, culminating in a final score of 13-7.
Individual performances were key to Vitality’s success, with ZywOo standing out as the star player of the series.
The World Final MVP closed with an impressive 38/19 K/D, 108.9 ADR, 81.6% KAST, 2.01 impact rating, and a phenomenal 1.69 overall rating.
Notable highlights included Robin “ropz” Kool’s impactful 2v3 triple kill on Inferno, flameZ’s clutch 1v3 save on Inferno, and ZywOo’s hat-trick on the same map.
After the final round was secured, Vitality celebrated their championship victory, capping off 2023 with a resounding win and a US$500,000 prize.
FaZe Clan, in their first tournament with David “frozen” ?eransky, claimed the runner-up spot and earned US$250,000.
The victory positions Vitality as a formidable force heading into the Major season, with PGL set to host the Copenhagen Major in March 2024.
While Vitality appears to be in peak form, FaZe Clan may need more time to gel with their new roster before making serious title challenges again.
The BLAST Premier World Final showcased not only the tactical brilliance and individual skill of both teams but also set the stage for an exciting and competitive year ahead in the world of Counter-Strike.

]]>MOUZ has secured a spot in the BLAST Premier World Final semi-finals with a commanding victory over Cloud9 (13-1, 13-7).
The European team, led by Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek, showcased dominance with impressive 11 and 12-round streaks on Mirage and Ancient, respectively.
Despite Cloud9 entering the match as favorites against MOUZ, who played with a stand-in, Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin, they struggled to execute their aggressive playstyle inspired by Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov.
MOUZ’s strategic response, particularly on Mirage, where they shut down successive rushes on the CT side, showcased their resilience.
After preventing a complete whitewash in the final round of the first half on Mirage, Cloud9 entered the second map, Ancient, with low morale.
Despite a better start on the Terrorist side, Cloud9 couldn’t maintain momentum. MOUZ tightened up their defense, completing a 12-round run and securing their semi-final spot.
MOUZ will set up a mouth-watering clash with FaZe Clan, where David “frozen” Cernansky will face his ex-teammates for the first time since moving to FaZe in the lead-up to the event.

In the second series of the day, Natus Vincere advanced to the BLAST World Final arena days, where they are set to face Vitality in the semi-finals.
Na’Vi secured their spot with a 2-1 victory over G2 Esports (13-16, 13-11, 13-6).
The series began on Anubis, with Na’Vi initially dominating and taking a 5-0 lead.
However, G2 made a comeback, and the map went to overtime, with G2 ultimately stealing Na’Vi’s pick.
On Inferno, G2 initially took control but lost focus after a clutch play by Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen.
The map went down to the wire, with Na’Vi winning in regulation.
The final map, Nuke, was marked by Mihai “iM” Ivan’s stellar performance, leading Na’Vi to victory.
Na’Vi will now face Team Vitality in the semi-finals at the Etihad Arena.

The final S-Tier Counter-Strike 2 tournament of the year kicks off with a clash between Cloud9 and ENCE, who last met at Gamers8 2023 in August when ENCE won 2-0. That was before the roster changes that followed on both sides.
Cloud9 enter BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 without any CS2 tournament titles to their name; however, they made the semifinals of BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 at the end of November. The team have looked much better since Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov joined, but they still have a long way to go.
ENCE made two significant changes last month with the signing of coach Jakub “kuben” Gurczyski and in-game leader Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander. Although promising additions, ENCE got off to a rough start with the Danish captain and are 2-2 over their last four, with losses against HAVU and Apeks.
ENCE’s past results don’t inspire much confidence, but it’s not like Cloud9 are known for their consistency. This is C9’s game to lose, but ENCE are good enough to show some resistance.

Team Vitality looked very shaky in their first Counter-Strike 2 tournament (Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023) in October, when they placed 13th-16th. But after the unconvincing performance in Australia, the Bees bounced back in style and won BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 at the end of November.
Natus Vincere have not accomplished nearly as much on the game’s new version. They placed ninth-12th in Sydney and two weeks back exited BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 in fifth-sixth place. In NaVi’s defence, they’ve played a few close games against tough opponents, but that doesn’t change the fact that NaVi are 2-4 since transitioning to CS2.
Natus Vincere have enough talent to be competitive, but until they start showing something, we’ll continue to fade them.
FAZE CLAN vs HEROIC CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

With three consecutive S-Tier tournament victories in October-November, FaZe Clan established themselves as the strongest Counter-Strike 2 team in the world. And although they couldn’t make it four in a row at BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023, FaZe Clan are still a force to be reckoned with.
FaZe Clan head to Abu Dhabi with an incredible 18-2 record since the scene transitioned to Counter-Strike 2. Their only two defeats came against GamerLegion (15-19) and Team Vitality (0-2), who beat them in the closing game of BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
Due to the recent roster drama, Heroic enter BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 as a bit of an enigma, as they have to field two stand-ins, Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss and Jason “salazar” Salazar. We’ve yet to see this roster play an official game; however, the core placed second last at BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
Heroic should be able to do some damage, but it’s tough to believe they can derail FaZe Clan. Despite losing Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken to Team Liquid, FaZe are the superior team.
G2 ESPORTS vs MOUZ CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Since the arrival of Nemanja “nexa” Isakovi?, G2 Esports have not looked good. They are 2-2 with the Serb back on the roster with wins against Fluxo (2-1) and Sprout (2-1) and defeats against Aurora Gaming (0-2) and Guild Eagles (1-2).
And despite losing against much weaker opponents, G2 Esports are priced as favourites to defeat MOUZ with Counter-Strike betting sites. That might have to do with MOUZ’s recent roster change, which saw the departure of David “frozen” ?eransky. Still, with Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin joining the team, MOUZ haven’t lost much quality.
We have to consider that MOUZ have struggled recently, with defeats against Apeks (16-19) and FURIA Esports (0-2). But that’s hardly a good reason to have them priced as underdogs for this match.
This looks like a 50-50 bout at best, so we’ll happily side with MOUZ at the offered CS2 betting odds.

]]>The post FaZe Clan replace “Twistzz” with “frozen” on CS2 roster appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>This transfer, facilitated by an agreement between FaZe and MOUZ to release frozen from his contract ahead of schedule, marks a significant change for both players and teams.
Frozen, a prominent Slovakian rifler, played a pivotal role in MOUZ’s success for over four and a half years, contributing to numerous triumphs, including two ESL Pro League victories.
His recent achievement with MOUZ was clinching the EPL Season 18 trophy in October, where he showcased his prowess with five consecutive playoff wins, notably defeating FaZe in the process and securing a decisive 3-0 victory against NAVI in the grand finals.
FaZe Clan, in unveiling their newest addition, briefly teased the return of Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson, continuing the long-standing banter around benching and starting the Swedish legend.
The CS team needed a new 5th, so we knew exactly what we had to do… pic.twitter.com/iV7TCdpIcw
— FaZe Clan (@FaZeClan) December 4, 2023
However, the real announcement featured the acquisition of frozen, solidifying FaZe’s roster with a player who has consistently demonstrated top-tier rifling skills.
Frozen’s transition to FaZe reunites him with two former MOUZ teammates, Finn “karrigan” Andersen and Robin “ropz” Kool.
This trio, reminiscent of the successful MOUZ roster from 2019-2020, aims to build on FaZe’s recent victories, including triumphs at IEM Sydney, Thunderpick World Championship and the CS Asia Championships.
FaZe’s timing for the transfer aligns with the BLAST Premier World Final scheduled for December 13-17, presenting a swift debut opportunity for frozen with his new team.
As FaZe looks to maintain their winning momentum in the Counter-Strike 2 era, frozen’s experience and skill set are expected to play a crucial role in the team’s continued success.
The post FaZe Clan replace “Twistzz” with “frozen” on CS2 roster appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>The post Vitality end FaZe’s 18-match win streak to claim Fall Final title appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>This marked a remarkable debut for William “mezii” Merriman, who celebrated his first Counter-Strike trophy.
Despite FaZe aiming to extend their 18-match winning streak and clinch their fourth consecutive trophy, they delivered an uninspired performance, particularly on Vertigo, where Vitality dominated from the start.
Nuke saw a closer contest, but FaZe’s critical mistake at 11-11 proved costly.
Dan “apEX” Madesclaire expressed his pride in the team’s performance, emphasizing the intense collective effort in practice and individual skills.
The French tactician also highlighted Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut’s exceptional performance, earning him his 17th MVP award with a tournament-high 1.35 rating.
The series began with a surprise Vertigo pick from Vitality, a map they hadn’t played since IEM Cologne 2023.
Despite the lack of recent experience, Vitality showcased a strong understanding of the map, securing a 9-3 halftime lead.
FaZe struggled to recover, managing only one round on the map as Vitality dominated.
The momentum carried into Nuke, with Vitality taking a 3-0 lead after a clutch from mezii in the pistol round.
FaZe rallied with seven consecutive round wins, led by H?vard “rain” Nygaard, but Vitality closed the half at 7-5.
The second half featured key clutches from Vitality, including one from Lotan “Spinx” Giladi, securing an 11-9 lead.
Despite FaZe’s attempts at a comeback, Vitality reached series point with a decisive round, ultimately winning the match.
FaZe Clan’s flawless CS2 run came to an end at the hands of a resurgent Vitality roster.
Following a lackluster end to the Global Offensive era, FaZe had dominated CS2’s initial competitions, claiming titles at IEM Sydney, the Thunderpick World Championship, and the CS Asia Championship.
Twistzz’s reported move to Team Liquid raises questions about FaZe’s roster, especially with the impending merger with GameSquare.
Vitality, bolstered by the addition of Mezii, seems to be in top form as they head into the BLAST World Final and the first Major in CS2 history in March 2023.
Both Vitality and FaZe, if their core roster survives changes, are expected to be favourites in upcoming events, providing exciting matchups in late-2023 BLAST events and potentially meeting again in a grand final.

]]>The post G2 Esports add “nexa” to replace “jks” on its Counter-Strike roster appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>This move aligns with earlier reports by HLTV, putting an end to the speculation surrounding G2’s roster changes.
Nexa, a seasoned player at 26, is no stranger to the G2 organization, having previously served as the in-game leader (IGL) for the team in 2021.
Despite not securing major trophies during his initial tenure, G2 remained a formidable force, securing second-place finishes at IEM Cologne 2021 and the PGL Major Stockholm, and reaching the No. 2 spot in the global rankings.
Having played alongside Nemanja “?huNter-?” Kova? and Nikola “?NiKo?” Kova? during his first stint at G2, nexa brings familiarity to the current line up.
However, the lack of tangible success eventually led to changes, and nexa moved to OG in 2022, with Aleksi “?Aleksib?” Virolainen taking over as G2’s IGL.
Unfortunately, nexa’s time at OG did not yield significant achievements, with the team achieving modest success at LAN events.
Despite briefly reaching the No. 8 spot in the world rankings, OG slid out of the top 30 in 2023.
The return of nexa to G2 comes as a replacement for jks, who is stepping down from the active roster.
While speculation abounded that nexa might reassume the role of IGL, he has clarified that, for now, he will focus on his primary role as a rifler.
This move follows NiKo’s decision to stay with G2, turning down an offer from Falcons.
G2’s CS2 division has undergone recent turbulence with roster uncertainties, but the organization is experiencing its most successful year in Counter-Strike esports.
With victories at the BLAST Premier World Final in December 2022, IEM Katowice in February, and IEM Cologne in August, G2 has solidified its presence as a top-tier team.
Nexa’s return to G2 brings anticipation for the upcoming BLAST Premier World Final scheduled between December 13 and 17, where the team will aim to continue its success.
While the exact debut date for nexa in this new stint remains unclear, fans can expect an experienced and familiar presence to bolster G2’s competitive edge.

]]>The 25-year-old rifler is set to make his debut later this month, joining the lineup for the BLAST Premier Fall Final.
This acquisition marks the second change to Vitality’s team since the release of Counter-Strike 2, following the return of Rmy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam as head coach last month.
Mezii steps into the shoes of Emil “Magisk” Reif, who is reportedly close to joining Falcons.
Super excited to announce that I'll be joining @TeamVitality !
I'm so pumped to begin this new journey with these guys and spend countless hours grinding CS2 together https://t.co/wYWrE8Lo6Z— MEZII' (@kingmezii) November 8, 2023
The move sees mezii taking on the role previously held by Magisk, a player integral to Vitality’s success, including their victory in the BLAST Paris Major and an 18-week stint as the world’s No.1 team.
From a statistical perspective, mezii is expected to seamlessly replace Magisk, and his track record supports this transition.
Despite sometimes flying under the radar on the playing field, mezii is recognized as an experienced player with the capacity to adapt to any situation.
Mezii’s professional journey dates back to 2017, gaining significant attention during his tenure with Cloud9’s “Colossus” roster in September 2020.
His prowess as the standout player on the team has since led him to Endpoint in 2021 and, more recently, fnatic in August 2021.
Mezii showcased his leadership skills as the in-game leader and later transitioned into a star rifler role.
Now, on Team Vitality, mezii faces the challenge of filling Magisk’s shoes, particularly in the anchor roles on the CT side.
Magisk’s contributions were pivotal in securing notable victories, including the BLAST Paris Major.
Mezii’s task will be to prove his versatility once again and contribute to Vitality’s continued success in the competitive CS2 scene.
The team is gearing up for the BLAST Premier Fall Final in Copenhagen from November 22C26, with an eye on the BLAST Premier World Final scheduled for December 13C17 in Abu Dhabi.
