London Spitfire have announced their home schedule ahead of the 2020 Overwatch League, revealing the English capital will host four OWL matches in late March and early June.

Earlier last week, the full fixture with the newly implemented home-and-away format for next year’s campaign was released on the official Overwatch website.

The upcoming OWL season will be played in 19 cities around the globe, giving die-hard Overwatch esports fans all over Asia, Europe and North America the chance to experience the action live.

The 20 participating teams in the OWL have been divided into two conferences – Atlantic and Pacific – which each house two divisions:

Atlantic Conference, North Division – Boston Uprising, London Spitfire, New York Excelsior, Paris Eternal, Toronto Defiant.

Atlantic Conference, South Division – Atlanta Reign, Florida Mayhem, Houston Outlaws, Philadelphia Fusion, Washington Justice.

Pacific Conference, East Division – Chengdu Hunters, Guangzhou Charge, Hangzhou Spark, Shanghai Dragons, Seoul Dynasty.

Pacific Conference, West Division – Dallas Fuel, Los Angeles Valiant, Los Angeles Gladiators, San Francisco Shock, Vancouver Titans.

The OWL 2020 season will kick off in New York on February 8 and continue for 27 weeks, ending on August 9 in Los Angeles.

Between the two dates, OWL League will travel to Shanghai, Seoul, San Francisco, Washington, Paris, London, and several more major cities in the Northern Hemisphere.

The UK will take centre stage in late March and early June, when London Spitfire play host to Paris Eternal (March 28), Toronto Defiant (March 29), San Francisco Shock (June 6) and Los Angeles Gladiators (June 7).

This won’t be the first time Spitfire get to show off their skills in front of their home fans, as they took a tour across the country following their victory at the 2018 OWL Grand Finals.

“We’re thrilled to host and compete in homestand events and perform in front of our incredible UK fanbase in the capital,” said the president of London Spitfire, Dan Fiden.

“We have an awesome venue and plans in mind to ensure fans have an unforgettable experience at our events in London.”

Hosting four OWL 2020 matches will only add to the UK’s already impressive history of housing some top esports events, including FaceIT CSGO London Major, Rocket League World Championship Season 5 finals and Dota 2 Major ESL One Birmingham.
