The Quest and Mythic claimed the final two spots in the North American closed qualifiers for the Americas Minor Championship by finishing top two in open qualifying.
They now join 14 other CS:GO esports teams in the fight for tickets into the main draw at Berlin 2019 in the second half of July.
It has been an interesting road to the top for The Quest, who failed to qualify in their three previous attempts. The last of those was an unmitigated disaster, as the team had to forfeit in the semi-finals due to a power outage.

This time, things were different. The Quest smashed Collateral 16-1 in the quarter-finals, then beat Holo eSports 16-10 in the semis and finished the job with a 2-0 win against ex-Zone Esports in the BO3 finals series.
Mythic were similarly dominant, thrashing Glizzy Gang 16-1, taking care of SODMG 16-10 and then defeating Hysteria 2-1 with convincing performances on Dust II (16-9) and Inferno (16-8).
The next stage will see eight qualifiers and eight invited teams compete for six spots in a BO3 double-elimination format.
The other 14 teams in contention are ATK, Cloud9, Team Envy, eUnited, FURIA, Luminosity Gaming, NRG, Team Singularity, Lazarus Esports, Team One, New Identity, Party Astronauts, Bad News Bears and Peeker’s Advantage.
