The Danish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament kicks off with a clash between Sashi Esports and Tricked Esports, who last met just under a month ago during Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 21. Tricked Esports won that match 16-14, albeit the game had a few close moments, and it could’ve easily swung the other way.

Sashi Esports have since not improved much and are in very shaky form. Thomas “Ryxxo” Nielsen and Mikkel “n1xen” Borlund are the only two players with a positive performance rating, yet even they’re barely above the line, both at 1.02.

Tricked Esports are not in the best shape either and have won just half of the 12 outings since their clash with Sashi. On a more positive note, Tricked are 4-1 across their last five; however, they’ve not beaten any notable teams over that stretch.

So this is a meeting between two domestic rivals and a match between two CS:GO squads that are struggling to perform. And yet, the esports betting sites have Tricked priced as $1.16 favourites, which doesn’t look right.

Tricked should be favoured, but not by that much. At the offered CS:GO betting odds, a bet on Sashi Esports to win one map is a no-brainer pick.

ALPHA GAMING vs ASTRALIS TALENT CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: Alpha $2.10 at GG Bet | Astralis $1.66 at GG Bet
When: December 3, 2022 | 13:00 CET

Alpha Gaming enter the opening round of Energive Cup without a complete roster, fielding only Malthe “Twinx” Jensen, Fanni “smF” Dyg, and Lucas “Gn?ffe” Brunsvig. According to recent reports, Tobias “Damkilde” Jacobsen will fill up the fourth spot, but it remains to be seen who will be Alpha Gaming’s fifth.

Anders “Pellyy” Bredahl Laursen is the likely candidate to step in, as he did during Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 21. If Pelly returns, this should be a fairly competitive roster, but not quite at the level of Astralis Talent, who have already beaten Alpha Gaming three times since the start of October (16-3, 2-1, 16-11).

Since their most recent loss, Alpha Gaming have played eight official matches, but won just three, and even those victories came against weaker teams in struggletony (16-4), Prosapia (16-8), and Bricksports (16-7). On the other side, Astralis Talent have played 13 games and won all but five (8-5).

Astralis Talent are much stronger and rightly priced as the favourites, but $1.12 seems a bit too pricey. This is an academy lineup, which are prone to making mistakes. So in games like this, it’s wiser to side with the outsiders with a headstart.
